WWE News: Former Top Model Contestant to Compete on WWE Tough Enough
First, the WWE announced that Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih would be a contestant on the reality show.
Now, it appears that former Top Model contestant Michelle Deighton is going to get in the ring.
The 25-year-old is no stranger to the WWE. Back in 2005, she was involved in an episode of SmackDown!, where she played herself.

Deighton is married to former Survivor contestant/wrestling fan-boy Johnny Fairplay.
This is an interesting addition, as it seems that this year's contestants appear to have more of a who's-who status, as opposed to years passed, when wrestlers or wannabe wrestlers were trying to fulfill their dreams.
I kind of understand why the WWE has gone this route, as they have received some serious mainstream press for these picks. It will also help them in the ratings for the show's relaunch.
However, it does take away from the mystique of the show. Most wrestling fans do not want to tune in each week to see former reality stars or beauty queens attempting to compete for a WWE contract.
Especially when the Tough Enough concept was to make stars, not take established names and make them wrestlers.
The two aforementioned contestants are getting a wrestling fan's dream, as not many people can say they were trained by WWE legends like Steve Austin and Booker T.
So, let's hope that these contestants appreciate the hands-on training they are getting, as it would be a shame to see either of them not give this 100 percent.
