Francisco Liriano: Minnesota Twins Lefty Tosses No-No Against Chicago White Sox
Francisco Liriano went into Tuesday night's start against the Chicago White Sox with his spot in the starting rotation in jeopardy.
The former ace was fighting for his job with the less-then dominating Kevin Slowley
Lirano had struggled for the entire month of April for a Twins team that finds itself in a early hole in the AL Central. His ERA stood at a horrific 9.4 entering the game. White Sox hitters were licking their chops.

But after 123 pitches on Tuesday—Liriano reminded everyone why he is the Twins top pitcher.
He may have walked six batters and only struck out two, but Liriano became the first pitcher of the season to toss a no-hitter.
It was the first complete game ever for the 27-year old left-hander in his 95th career major league start.
Only 66 of his 123 pitches were strikes, but he was able to keep White Sox hitters off balance with his changeup.
With two outs in the ninth, Liriano fell behind Adam Dunn 3-0. But Liriano fought back with two strikes before Dunn lined out to complete history.
The entire Twins team rejoiced in happiness on the pitchers mound as the home team could only look on in disbelief.
Final score: 1-0.
It's the seventh no-hitter in Minnesota Twins history, and the first since Eric Milton in 1999.
With the historic win, he raised his record to 2-4 and lowered his ERA to 6.61.
After tonight, he won't be worrying about his status in the rotation for a long time.
