Miami Heat's XBox Style Enough To Roll Over Los Angeles Lakers Twice
Phil Jackson's comments just keep coming and why wouldn't they? He is in his last year and apparently taking his untouchable post and pregame comments to an all new level.
They are entertaining for the most part, but you must admit that it is a little funny that while he looks down his nose at how the Miami Heat team plays their games—in an XBox one-on-one fashion—they managed to beat the Lakers once at the Staples Center on Christmas and a second time last night at home.
Even though what Coach Jackson said seems pointless now, it did have a little merit to it.
The team does rely too much on Dwyane Wade and LeBron James to make plays, and when they do not, no one is ready to step up to take the responsibility.
Obviously Chris Bosh was a little tired of all the low-post attention escaping him, because he was the biggest factor in last night's win over LA.
After making the comment that he was not given the ball enough in the paint, he knew that the scope on him would be magnified a million times. He showed why his arrival in Miami should not be overlooked, while he was dominant on the boards and created his own shots.
Statistics earlier in the season showed that Bosh was the most important missing piece when he was injured, but when you actually looked at the games, it was not really that apparent. He seemed like one of the Pips.
Dwyane Wade also showed up as the leader of the team.
His late-game steal from Kobe Bryant and dish to LeBron for the dunk left a lot of people at a loss for words. One reason is because Kobe Bryant usually is not that careless with the ball late in the game—especially one as close as this one was.
Another reason is because Wade was playing with the ferocity of a leader.
What people have to realize is that he is the leading man in Miami. No matter how many more points per game LeBron James may score, Dwyane Wade needs to be entirely active, healthy and dominant in order for the team to be at its best.
