Blake Griffin Dunk Highlights: Watch Clippers Star Tomahawk on the T'Wolves
Blake Griffin Dunk Highlights Wednesday Night in Minneapolis
Blake Griffin dunk highlights are becoming a semi-daily occurrence.
Last night he provided another installment, taking a pass from Baron Davis and then leaping from about eight feet away to thunderously slam down a dunk with his left hand.
"At home and on the road, he's an exciting player to watch, to get the fans out of their seats," said teammate Randy Foye, who scored 21 points of his own. "Just like in baseball, chicks dig the long ball. Chicks dig when guys can fly and jump."
The former Oklahoma star, who seems to have already wrapped up the league's Rookie of the Year award, dropped 29 points on 12-of-20 shooting. Thanks to his dominance, the visiting Clippers surged past the Minnesota Timberwolves, 98-90.
Griffin had an intriguing showdown during the victory with the T-Wolves' Kevin Love, who tossed in 18 points while taking 18 rebounds away from Griffin and the Clippers.
The third-year star from UCLA bolted out of the gate, collecting six points and 10 rebounds in the opening quarter, but a shoulder injury slowed him thereafter. He quickly returned but yielded the second-half spotlight to Griffin, who'll be his teammate in this Sunday's All-Star Game at the Staples Center.
Each youngster (Griffin is 21 years old, Love 22 years old) is a first-time selection to the All-Star Game.
During those All-Star Game festivities, Griffin is also slated to compete in the Slam Dunk Contest. As the above video shows, he's a great choice for the annual contest.
But right now, that doesn't seem to be the most important thing on Griffin's mind.
According to a postgame report, he was visibly upset and "sobbing" after receiving a phone call in the locker room.
The Clippers don't play again until after the All-Star break.
