Pro Wrestling or NASCAR: Which One Is More of a Sport?
Chances are, I am about to create a war between the Wrestling and "Motorsports" sections of Bleacher Report, however, I'm willing to take that risk.
Which is more of a sport: Pro Wrestling or NASCAR?
If you're a fan of one of these, you'll often hear that it's not sport. Wrestling fans get it, because wrestling is scripted. Racing fans get it, because it takes no athletic talent, period.

As you might have realized by now, I'm a fan of one, but cannot stand the other. Yes, I'm a Pro Wrestling fan and I have always disliked racing.
Unlike any kind of "Motorsport," Pro Wrestling takes real athletic talent. When you're a pro wrestler, you are quite simply putting your body through hell.
This is an example.
Who could make that dive? Or on the flip side, who wants to be on the receiving end of that. If your answer to either one of the last two questions was yes, you're either lying or out of your mind.
Look at the WWE's schedule, it's non-stop. They entertain 365 days a year, with no offseason. They travel to different cities everyday for television tapings or house shows. It's an unimaginable physical grind.
It might be scripted, but that takes nothing away from the amazing athlete you must be to be a pro wrestler. Try feeling the pain that they go through everyday, most couldn't do it.
Now to Nascar. You're driving a car around in circles for three hours. Is that athletic? No. I don't really care what the conditions inside the car are, it still doesn't take any form of athletic talent.
You may be risking your life, as wrecking is possible, however, that doesn't change the fact that driving a car is not athletic.
Racing might not be predetermined, but it doesn't take talent either. People drive cars daily.
Let the backlash begin!
