Ray Allen Video: Watch Sharpshooter Break Reggie Miller's 3-Point Record
Ah, it’s about time somebody broke that bum Reggie Miller’s three-point record.
Okay, so Reggie was never a bum, but as a Knicks fan, well, let’s say I was never fond of the all-time Indiana great.
I was ecstatic to see Ray Allen break Reggie Miller’s three-point record, against the Los Angeles Lakers of all teams, on Thursday night, February 10, 2011.
2,561, 2,562 three-pointers made and counting.
Allen has been one of my favorite players since he started his career with the Milwaukee Bucks in 1996.
Allen has the prettiest shooting stroke and touch I have ever seen. We’ve been blessed to see the most fluid shooter in NBA history.
Now, it’s official.
Nobody can touch him; nobody can say a word.
He’s the new three-point king.
All of these other chumps need to bow down to his greatness.
But Allen wouldn’t even have them do that, though it’d be awesome to see: Have these young cats groveling at his feet.
Yeah, he’s talked a bit of trash during his time, but Allen is one of the classier and humble players in the league.
I must say though, it feels good to watch him set the record in front of Kobe Bryant, considering their storied past.
It would only be fitting for “Jesus Shuttlesworth” to take down that cry-baby teammate of his, Paul Pierce, in the NBA All-Star Weekend three-point contest next weekend.
That would just be the icing on the cake after this remarkable achievement.
Allen is enjoying a prolific career but luckily for us, “Jesus” still has years left to bless us with his supremacy before immediately entering the Hall of Fame upon eligibility.
There are still more three-pointers to be drained, whether wide open, in the face of a defender or the face of pressure.
Allen is clutch—he knows no fear.
Nobody wants to see Allen taking a shot with the game on the line.
As he continues along the path to become the greatest pure shooter in NBA history, Allen eyes another Championship ring.
It’s tough to think of a more deserving athlete.
Congratulations, Ray.
Thank you for gracing us with your heroics.
It’s been an honor to witness your uncanny craft throughout your marvelous career.
