WWE Cryptic Promo: A Thousand Dollar Bet, Its Sting Baby!

So the Internet Wrestling Community (IWC) is in a storm of debate right now. The WWE aired a mysterious promo last Monday on RAW about a mysterious man in a trench coat walking in the rain. When I saw that 18-second promo, I knew right then and there, its Sting. 

I mean if Sting wanted to go to TNA then we should know by now with all the gossip here on the internet, but no—it's still unclear if he is heading to TNA.

Think about it: Booker T and Kevin Nash signed a contract with the WWE to appear at the Royal Rumble. I mean they could've chosen TNA seeing as how that company loves old guys. But no, they're in WWE, and if those two TNA veterans made it to the WWE, then Sting is not that much of a guess.

The other option the IWC fans are arguing is that the promo is for The Undertaker. Well I've seen other promos by The Undertaker and it usually involves a gong sound and some strange promo in a cemetery. This one is a promo about a guy walking in the rain with thunder in the background.

The Undertaker does strange promos but never cryptic ones.

But then again, I feel like the WWE is mocking the IWC right now. Looking back at the Royal Rumble, the mystery RAW GM scheduled a fatal-four way match in place of a two-on-one handicap. I thought to myself, "Good God, its Kong. The WWE is going to debut Kong in the RR."

No it wasn't. It was Eve. Come on. Eve? Really?

To me that was WWE giving the middle finger to the IWC. It could just be me but the WWE can still pull one over fans—including the IWC.

So I am worried that it's The Undertaker. After all, he is scheduled to wrestle Wade Barrett at WrestleMania. If it was The Undertaker then I feel it's another joke directed for us here in the IWC.

Then again—any of you guys see the 1997 Starrcade promo by WCW? It was Sting walking in the rain with thunder on the background.

I believe that the cryptic promo on RAW was to remind us of this little promo by WCW. Only WCW fans, which I am not, could understand this cryptic message. I mean, it works. WWE is aiming for those WCW fans because Sting never wrestled in the WWE.

Let's bring back Sting using the enigma used by WCW. Doesn't that sound fantastic?

I mean given the choice, I would prefer to see Sting in the rafters at Elimination Chamber than seeing The Undertaker tombstone Wade Barrett.

But again, its only my guess.

If Wade Barrett was to start an issue with The Undertaker at Smackdown anytime soon then you can bet The Sting is coming.

Booker T, Kevin Nash, Wrestlemania and Sting. I would buy that Pay-per-view.
