Preview of SDSU at BYU: Will Jimmer Fredette Go Off Against the Aztecs?
They don't get many games like this in Provo.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, this will be the first time in the last 10 years that a team 20-0 or better faces a one-loss team.
This will also be the first-ever meeting on campus between a top-10 BYU team and top-10 opponent.

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Both San Diego State (20-0) and BYU (19-1), obviously, are playing at a very high level.
This game will answer a number of important questions:
- Who will be in the Mountain West Conference driver's seat?
- Can San Diego State win a big road game?
- Will Kawhi Leonard step up and take charge of the paint?
- How will Jimmer Fredette play against a highly-ranked opponent on a national telecast?
The last question is receiving as much consideration as the game itself.
If Fredette can continue what he's been doing recently and against the Aztecs previously, this could be a very special night for the Cougars.
Fredette's Line in the Last Three Games of This Year
Jan. 11, 2011 (@ Utah): 47 Pts, 4 Reb, and 6 Ast
Jan. 18, 2011 (TCU): 21 Pts, 3 Reb, and 5 Ast
Jan. 22, 2011 (@ Colorado State): 42 Pts, 4 Reb, and 4 Ast
Fredette's Line in Last Year's Games Against San Diego State
Jan. 26, 2010: 33 Pts, 3 Reb, 5 Ast.
Feb. 24, 2010: 26 Pts, 6 Reb, 5 Ast.
Look for San Diego State to deny Fredette the ball and limit his touches.
The Aztecs may play a box-and-one defense to apply more shot pressure on Fredette.
Prediction: Fredette goes for 29 points on 50 percent shooting. BYU wins by two.
