It may be cold outside, but college basketball is heating up!
From now until the Final Four in Houston, every Saturday will feature key matchups that will shape the season and determine who is going to The Dance.
Today, the road teams pulled off some important victories.
Kansas' 69-game home win streak was broken as Texas came to Lawrence and took down the previously-undefeated Jayhawks, 74-63.
Villanova, needing to get back on track after a heart-wrenching loss to Connecticut earlier in the week, beat Syracuse 83-72 at the Carrier Dome in front of a season-high crowd of 33,736.
And No. 1 Ohio State needed to come from behind in the second half to beat Illinois in Champaign, 73-68, to stay undefeated in Big Ten play and for the season.

Derwin Kitchen: Florida State

Derwin Kitchen led the Seminoles in all four of the above statistical categories as Florida State beat Boston College 67-51 in Tallahassee.
Kitchen was 6-for-7 from the field, hitting all three shots he attempted from beyond the arc.
Papa Dia: SMU

Papa Dia (top 10 cool names in college basketball history) went 10-for-10, scoring 23 points to lead SMU to a 79-65 victory over Southern Mississippi in Dallas.
Dia's perfect day from the field helped the Mustangs shoot .698 from the field, including 12-of-18 from beyond the arc.
Dia also blocked four shots, increasing his career total to 102.
E'Twaun Moore: Purdue

Moore's Line: 26 Pts, 5 Reb, 4 Ast, 3 Stl
E'Twaun Moore scored 26 points to lead Purdue at home in beating Michigan State, 86-76.
Moore shot 9-for-18 from the field, including 3-of-6 from downtown.
Late in the game, with the Spartans rallying, Moore stole the ball and fed Lewis Jackson for an important score to secure the victory.
Ryan Kelly: Duke

Ryan Kelly had a perfect afternoon, scoring a career-high 20 points, hitting all six shots he attempted in Duke's 83-59 laugher over Wake Forest in Winston-Salem.
Of his six made field goals, three of them were three-point shots.
Kelly also made all four of his free throws.
Ben Hansbrough: Notre Dame

Ben Hansbrough scored a career-high 28 points and spearheaded a comeback that helped No. 16 Notre Dame to an 80-75 victory Saturday against Marquette.
Hansbrough was 10-for-15 from the field and 6-for-6 from the line.
He scored seven consecutive points to help the Fighting Irish come back from a 12-point deficit.
Cam Long: George Mason

Senior guard Cam Long scored a season-high 30 points to lead George Mason over James Madison, 75-73 in a close Colonial Athletic Association battle.
Long shot 8-for-9 from the field, hitting all four of his shots from beyond the arc.
Long also hit 10-of-13 free throws.
J'Covan Brown: Texas

Brown's Line: 23 Pts, 3 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Stl
J'Covan Brown scored a season-high 23 points and led a second-half run that erased a 15-point Kansas lead, helping No. 10 Texas to beat the Jayhawks 74-63.
The loss snapped Kansas' 69-game home win streak.
Brown was 6-for-10 from the field and 8-for-10 from the foul line.
Matthew Bryan-Amaning: Washington

Matthew Bryan-Amaning carried the Huskies with a career-high 30 points, as Washington pulled away late for an 88-75 victory over Arizona State.
He was 11-for-16 from the field and made all eight of his free throw attempts.
Jared Sullinger: Ohio State

Jared Sullinger helped Ohio State come from eight behind with under 13 minutes to go to beat Illinois on the road, 73-68.
Sullinger led the Buckeyes by scoring 27 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.
The freshman forward shot 7-for-15 from the field and hit 13-of-15 free throws.
He scored Ohio State's first nine points of the second half, keeping them in the game.
Jimmer Fredette: BYU

Fredette's Line: 42 Pts, 4 Reb, 4 Ast, 2 Stl
Fredette, the nation's leading scorer, tallied 42 points—his second 40-plus point performance in a week—as No. 9 Brigham Young beat Colorado State 94-85 in Fort Collins.
The senior guard made 16-of-17 free throws and shot 11-of-24 from the field. He also was 4-of-9 from three-point range
Fredette is averaging 35.5 points per game on the road this season.
