Sean McDermott: Philadelphia Eagles Fire Defensive Coordinator
It was less than a week ago that Andy Reid announced that defensive coordinator Sean McDermott would remain in Philadelphia next season.
We all know how reliable Andy Reid has been lately. He said McNabb would remain starting quarterback, then McNabb was traded. He said Kolb was his guy, then Vick took the starting position.
It seems that Reid has stuck to his latest trend.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
According to ESPN's Chris Mortenson, the Philadelphia Eagles have relieved Sean McDermott of his duties as defensive coordinator.
McDermott took over the defensive coordinator position after the passing of Jim Johnson in July of 2009.
McDermott came under heavy criticism from Philadelphia fans after the defense had one of the worst years in recent history. The defense allowed more passing touchdowns this season than any other year with Andy Reid at head coach.
The biggest flaw was the team's red-zone defense, which was statistically the worst in the NFL since 1988.
McDermott has coached in Philadelphia since 1998. He previously held positions as scouting assistant coordinator, assistant to head coach, defensive assistant, secondary coach and linebackers coach.
The Eagles have not named who will McDermott will be succeeded by. There will be massive speculation over the next day or so as to who will fill the position.
Dick Jauron is probably the most likely to take the position at this time. Rob Ryan runs a 3-4 and Mike Singletary has never had a position as defensive coordinator. Some suspect Eric Mangini could be contacted or that even a dark horse like Jim Mora Jr. could obtain the position.
