NBA Trade Rumors, Melo Not Included: Steve Nash and 7 Stars Who Are Staying Put
It's almost two months until the trade deadline and rumors of who's going where are already spiraling out of control.
This time of year, more players are involved in trade rumors than not.
While all the talk is about Carmelo Anthony's final destination, there are a number of other big name players that have come up in trade rumors.
Most trades don't begin with a rumor, and 95 percent of trade rumors don't happen.
Here are seven big names that aren't going anywhere by the trade deadline:
7. Jamal Crawford
1 of 7
Crawford may want a trade, but the Hawks won't deal him that easily.
Atlanta is fifth in the East. They'll only trade Crawford if it would improve their ball club right now. Winning in the future is not what they're looking for.
They are unlikely to get such a deal with the 30 year old.
6. Devin Harris

The Nets have the cash to turn into a contender real quick.
Trading away the team's best back court player isn't a move in the right direction. Harris is part of the big picture in the team's rise, not a trading chip.
5. Gerald Wallace

Larry Brown is a defensive minded head coach. When trying to rebuild the Bobcats, the last thing Charlotte should do is trade one of the best defenders in the league.
The Bobcats trading Stephen Jackson is much more likely.
4. Chris Paul
4 of 7
After coming out of the gates as the hottest team in the league, the Hornets have gone 3-7 in their last 10 games re-opening Chris Paul trade rumors which seemed to have vanished.
New Orleans is still a playoff team right now, and in the Western Conference, that's an accomplishment by itself. The Hornets shouldn't trade Paul himself, but make deals to put more talent around him.
You don't take the step from playoff contender to championship contender by trading one of the league's best players.
3. Steve Nash
5 of 7
Nash isn't going anywhere. Alvin Gentry has said he wants no part of a Nash trade, and Nash has said the same.
Poor roster moves in the off season destroyed what was a very strong team. Trading Nash would be their worst decision yet.
2. Andre Iguodala
6 of 7
It's too early for the 76ers to trade the player who was once considered the next Kobe Bryant.
They have two young players in Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner who have stud potential. Philadelphia should give them at least another year to develop alongside Iguodala.
This team is the Elton Brand mistake away from being a contender.
1. Andrew Bynum
7 of 7
Defense wins championships.
It's probably the most clichéd phrase in the world of sports, but it's true. Andrew Bynum brings a defensive toughness and post presence that doesn't show up in the stat sheet.
He's a major part in what made the Lakers so dominant in their back-to-back championship seasons: Size. Without Bynum, the bench would also be much thinner.
A starting lineup with Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom may look more talented, but names don't win championships.
