Looking at the baseball action today, it's obvious that bettors are focused on the first full day of NFL action. You know we will still find some interesting market moves to talk about here at the Daily Market Trends, though.
The Cubs finally broke out of their slump in a big way yesterday with a 14-6 win in Cincinnati. Sean Marshall (3-4, 4.03 ERA) takes the mound today for the North-siders against the Reds and Aaron Harang (4-15, 5.24). The Cubs opened up as -134 favorites at Pinnacle, but have moved to -115 despite receiving 70 percent of public money line wagers. Hello Sharps!

A couple of similar moves in AL games today in the Detroit-Minnesota and Boston-Texas matchups. The Twins and Glen Perkins (12-3, 4.08) are receiving 78 percent of money line bets, but the line has moved slightly in their favor. Paul Byrd (10-11, 4.58) and the Red Sox are receiving 71 percent of wagers, and have seen their odds move from a Pinnacle opening of -138 to -121. Keep an eye on these matchups.
