
Big Ten/ACC Challenge's Top 10 Guards
The Big Ten/ACC Challenge is one of the non-conference schedule's most exciting events. Number one Duke versus number six Michigan State is the headline game in this season's challenge. Purdue will look to rebound off their first loss with a match up against Virginia Tech and Illinois will play North Carolina in a rematch of 2005's National Championship game. Those three games possess the most star power and look to be marquee non-conference games for each team. Several great guards will take the floor in these games so here is a look at the top ten guards in the Challenge this season.
#10 Talor Battle

The Big Ten's second leading scorer in 2009-2010 returned to play one more season in Happy Valley.

Lighty's leadership and dynamic scoring has the Buckeyes ranked second in the nation. His skills will be tested by Florida State's Deividas Dulkys tonight.

The lethal shooting guard returned for his senior season after carrying his team to the 2010 Final Four after teammate Kalin Lucas went down. Summers can shoot the three and can explode for a monster dunk at any moment.

#5 Malcolm Delaney

The leading scorer in the ACC and the ACC's reigning scoring champion, Delaney looks to hand the Boilermakers their second loss of the season. He was a unanimous first team All ACC selection last year and he pairs with Dorenzo Hudson to give the Hokies one of the best backcourt's in the nation.

The 2009 Big Ten Player of the Year looks to claim his second player of the year honor and can prove himself against a great Duke team. Look for Lucas to use his experience against the young Kyrie Irving in the showdown Wednesday night.

#2 Kyrie Irving

The projected number 4 pick is a do-it-all point guard for the defending national champions. His quickness allows him to get to the basket with ease and his court vision is reminiscent of NBA star Chris Paul's. How he matches up against Kalin Lucas will decide the tempo of the game, and did I mention he is just a Freshman.

The Senior guard returned to Champaign for one more season to lead the Illini.McCamey leads the Big Ten in assists per game and is coming off a 10 assist effort against Western Michigan. North Carolina's weakness at guard will cost them on Tuesday night. McCamey is projected as a late 1st round to early 2nd round draft pick and is lethal when he catches fire.
