NFL Week 7 Picks: Predicting The Week's Biggest Upsets

Elias TrejoOct 21, 2010

The NFL season is starting to take shape. There are a lot of surprise teams so far and a lot of disappointing teams.

The Cowboys, Packers, 49ers and Chargers are not in first place in their division like many expected.

The Chiefs, Bears, Texans and Giants lead their current divisions, which is a surprise to many people.

As the season moves on it is harder to pick a pretender to beat a contender, but these losses still happen.

Let's take a look at five games that end with the better team losing in week seven.

Raiders Over Broncos

The Denver Broncos have actually looked very good in 2010 despite their 2-4 record. Every team they have played has a record of .500 or better.

The Raiders look better than last year, but still don't know how to play a complete game. This week they meet in Denver and most people would say it will end in a Bronco victory.

The Raiders have owned the Broncos in Denver recently. The last time the Broncos beat the Raiders at home was in 2007, and that was in overtime.

The Raiders seem to step up their game when they play in Denver. Look for the Raiders to escape with their third win in a row at Denver.

Look for Darren McFadden and Michael Bush to take over as the Raiders beat the Broncos in overtime 23-20.

Bengals Over Falcons

The Bengals are 2-3 and are in need of a big win against the Falcons. The Falcons are 4-2 and have a share of the lead in their division.

The Bengals have lost games to not very good teams, and this game could already be a make or break game for the men in Stripes.

The Falcons have not lost at home and Matt Ryan is looking more and more like a top tier quarterback, and Carson Palmer is looking like he isn't one.

Look for the Bengals' offense to explode in the dome against the Falcons. I expect Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens to have big games vs the Falcons secondary.

Bengals win in a shootout 34-31.

Chargers Over Patriots

The Patriots look good after five games and the Chargers look very bad after six games.

The Patriots only loss came against the 5-1 Jets in New York. The Chargers four losses have come against teams that picked in the top ten in last years draft.

The Chargers are heading into this game with a beat up offense, but they still have Phillip Rivers.

Look for this game to be a shootout in the West. The Patriots offense doesn't look as scary without Randy Moss and it seems like Phillip Rivers can put up points with anyone.

The Chargers stay undefeated at home as they beat the Patriots 27-24.

Dolphins Beat The Steelers

The Dolphins and Steelers could be the game of the week. Both teams have strong physical defenses who like to hit people.

The Steelers are looking like the best team in the NFL, and the Dolphins have some very impressive wins so far.

Big Ben is back and now has one game under his belt, and is ready for more. The Steelers defense is pissed after the NFL fined their player 75 K for playing football and hitting someone.

This game will be close, but look for Chad Henne and Brandon Marshall to be the difference in the game.

This game will be close, but the home team will come away with the Victory. Dolphins win 20-17.

Vikings Over Packers

Brett Favre makes his visit back to Packer Country wearing the Purple and Gold. This would be the weeks biggest story had it not been for some big fine and some hot Jets reporter with some pictures.

The Packers are hurting with injuries, and the Vikings are desperate to win and stay in the playoff picture.

While this game will feature Favre vs Aaron Rodgers, look for Adrian Peterson to be the game changer.

The Packers defense will have their hands full as the Vikings offense is finding their stride.

This will be one of the best games of the week, but will end with Favre throwing a picture perfect pass to Randy Moss in overtime.

Vikings win 34-28.
