Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire: Players To Cut From Your Fantasy Team
Wondering who you should consider cutting from your fantasy football team after six weeks of NFL action? Take a look at our "Cut Them Loose" list to help you get rid of the bad seeds.
Willis McGahee (Baltimore Ravens)
Baltimore Ravens running back Willis McGahee did not touch the ball once in last week’s overtime loss to the New England Patriots, though it wasn’t because of an injury. In fact, he wasn’t even listed on the team’s injury report heading into the game.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He watched from the bench the whole game as Ray Rice racked up 36 touches for 126 yards against the Patriots. Thus it appears McGahee has become an afterthought in the Baltimore offense. Even before then the most touches he had in a game was 16 in the team’s week four win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the only reason he was so involved in the offense was because Rice was dealing with a bruised knee.
Now that Rice is healthy, he is receiving the overwhelming majority of the touches out of the backfield, making McGahee expendable.
Devin Hester (Chicago Bears)
Why do people keep holding out hope that Chicago Bears receiver Devin Hester is going to suddenly turn into a pass-catching machine and start setting all kinds of receiving records with the team?
Hester’s speed and ability to run after the catch are great, but he’s got to catch the ball first and that’s something that’s continued to elude him. He’s caught just 13 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown in six games, but in the four games since Week 2 he’s caught just eight passes for 58 yards.
He is still strong in the return game having return two punts for touchdowns already this season, so if your league awards points to individuals for returns then Hester may be worth keeping around. However, in standard formats Hester just does not catch the ball enough to be even a WR3 option.
Kevin Walter (Houston Texans)
Houston Texans receiver Kevin Walter has 22 catches for 266 yards and three touchdowns this season.
Those are good numbers, but consider that in the last three weeks he’s caught just six passes for 59 yards and no touchdowns, and in last week’s comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs he did not catch a pass. At the same time Jacoby Jones caught four passes for 45 yards and a touchdown.
Perhaps Jones is finally overtaking Walter for the second receiver position.
Walter wasn’t listed on the team’s injury report yet still did not factor into the game, yet Jones was listed as questionable and still went out and had a decent game against the Chiefs.
Walter’s big first three games of the season put a false hope in owners that he was going to be good this year. Instead it appears Jones is now the number two guy in Houston.
