Yet Another Calipari Excuse For Defeat: Duke

Just when you thought you had heard every reason for a team's defeat, along comes John Calipari, or as I have nick-named him, "Cal-the-Lip" with yet another excuse as to why last year's "one-and-done" Kentucky team lost to West Virginia in the Big Dance ... 

In an appearance before the Birmingham Monday Morning Quarterback Club, "Cal-the-Lip" noted that the reason his team lost to the West Virginia in last year's Elite Eight was because they were looking past West Virginia to Duke !!! 

Imagine that ... Duke, the team no one thought deserved to be one of the #1 Seeds, in favour of West Virginia, since West Virginia beat Georgetown and Georgetown had trounced Duke ... the Duke who went on to beat West Virginia and go on to the National Championship ... that Duke !!!

When will the baloney this guy slings ever end ???   Just about everyone who saw that game will recall, it was because Kentucky simply got outplayed ... and a team which gets outplayed was ill-prepared ... and a team that was ill-prepared is the fault of the coach !!!

The man who continues to exploit the loophole which gave us the "one-and-done" recruit who has no intention of matriculating in college, will continue to be a pox on college basketball and the student-athlete relationship unless and until he is recognized for the shame he brings upon the University of Kentucky, and anyone who plays for him !!!
