Inside the numbers:

  • Chris Johnson is not having nearly the production he had last year, let alone his lofty goals for this season, but he should decimate the Jacksonville team that he torched for 311 yards in a pair of games last year.
  • With Buffalo on bye, the worst run defense going is Oakland’s. The Niners have to lean on Gore at home to pick up their first win of the year and at least win the Bay battle.
  • Jamaal Charles showed why he should be the Chiefs’ feature back. I expect him to start getting a bigger share of the carries.
  • If Darren McFadden’s hamstring has healed, he should reclaim the starting role. Michael Bush will get some work though, which is why McFadden is a borderline RB2. If he’s not ready, Bush will be a solid RB2.
  • Brandon Jacobs is a good bet to score for a third straight week.
