As a member of a military family, he moved many times as a youngster before finally settling in San Antonio, Texas.
Did you know?
The song "Sexy Boy" was originally written for Michaels by Jimmy Hart. Hart thanked Michaels personally for continuing to use the song as his entrance music when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
Michaels' entrance music was originally performed by Sherri Martel until she became a crowd favorite.
The second version was performed by Michaels himself with traces of Sherri in the chorus portion of the song. The current version of the song in use today is the version Michaels sang himself.
Shawn Micheals has got the best Royal Rumble record in WWE history.
Appearing in 12 Rumbles and eliminating 39 wrestlers. He broke Stone Cold Steve Austins record in the 2010 Rumble.
The only man to appear in more Rumbles than HBK is Kane who has appeared in 14 two less than Micheals.
Shawn Micheals along with Hogan and SCSA won the Rumble two consecutive years in a row.
Did you know?
In 2008 Chris Jericho successfully defended his title against Shawn Michaels at No Mercy in a ladder match. During this match HBK accidentally chipped Jericho's tooth while hitting him with a ladder.

Shawn Micheals is WWE second ever World Champion. His former D-X partner HHH being the first.
The group originated in the midst of the WWF's "Attitude Era" from 1997 to 2000.
After its original run with members Rick Rude, Chyna, Triple H and Shawn Michaels, the group expanded to become a mainstay of the Attitude Era with X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws until it disbanded in August 2000.
After a teased reunion in 2002, DX reformed in June 2006 as the duo of Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
D-Generation X reformed in 2009. They disbanded again in 2010 shortly before the retirement of Michaels.

Did you know?
Michaels was a sportscaster for San Antonio's local news for a short time.
Shawn became WWF Champion by beating Bret Hart at WrestleMania 12. It has been debated that when it came time to return the favor to Bret the next year, he quit rather than do it
He claims that a doctor told him he needed to retire due to a knee injury.
In a televised speech, he said he lost his smile and vacated the title. He returned a few months later and formed D-Generation X with Triple H and Chyna.
Micheals was the first man to hold both the European Championship and the WWE Champion.
He completed that goal at Survivour Series 1997 in his highly-controversial match against HOF Bret Hart.
Referee Earl Hebner recieved actual real-life death treaths for his role in Bret's WWE demise.
Many behind-the-scenes events leading up to the Montreal Screwjob were filmed for the documentary Hitman Hart: Wrestling with Shadows, released in 1998.
Earl Hebner in 2010 was also involved in another screw over this time on WWE's newest rival TNA.
During those six months, WCW contacted Bret Hart and offered him a 3-year, 9 million dollars contract. It was much more than what Hart was getting paid by the WWF.
Vince McMahon went to Bret Hart's house and basically begged him to stay with the WWF and offered him a 20-year contract with the WWF, but with much less money.
On the January 21, 2010 episode of TNA Impact!, TNA World Heavyweight Champion A.J. Styles defeated Kurt Angle when Styles put Angle in the Ankle Lock submission hold and referee Hebner called for the bell.
Many of the IWC branded that as a "Cheap way to attract viewers".
In pop culture, the term, "Montreal Screwjob," has been used by people to describe a wide-array of situations, in which people feel slighted or betrayed by their close friends.
After dropping the WWF title to Austin at WrestleMania XIV in 1998, Michaels was forced into retirement for four years because of serious neck and back injuries.
After a long period of rehabilitation, Michaels returned to the ring in 2002.
Michaels' match with his arch rival Chris Jericho at WrestleMania XIX in March 2003 was his first match at a WrestleMania since his back surgery in 1999.
Micheals won that match after connecting perfectly with a Sweet Chin Music.

HBK shares the same birth date with Rhys Ifans, born in Haverfordwest, Wales, actor, singer, movie roles include 'Spike', 'Notting Hill', 'Vladis Grutas', 'Hannibal Rising'.
Also on the 22 July 1994 (Micheals 29th birthday) O. J. Simpson pleads "Absolutely 100% Not Guilty" of murder.
October 3, 1995 a jury reached a verdict of not guilty for the two murders OJ was up against.

Micheals has forfited the most titles in WWE history.
The British Bulldog lost all three of his Championships to Shawn Micheals in 3 separate matches. Euro Championship, One half of his Tag Title and The IC title.
HBK revealed in an interview in 2006 with a website that all WWE Camera's are worth 80,000.
Mr Anderson named his dog Austin after his favourite wrestler and he also name his cat Bex after his other famous athlete Shawn micheals' wife Robecca Curcui.
Robecca used to preform in WCW and met HBK through Scott Hall.
He yielded considerable influence on booking decisions as the leader of The Kliq, a backstage group, which however fell apart in 1996.

The group was made up of Shawn, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, and Triple H.
They were blamed for derailing several careers and appeared to have their best matches against each other. Members of the Kliq deny having this power.
Several wrestlers held such a grudge that when Hall entered ECW in 2000, he was thrown out of the locker room.
Shawn Micheal has won more slammies than any other wrester to date:

PWI ranked him #1 of the top 500 singles wrestlers of the year in the PWI 500 in 1996.
WCW guys "The Giant" (Now the Big Show) and Sting came second and third to him.
