Quincy Miller Escapes North Carolina?

Rob MurraySep 4, 2010

It may be the start of football season in Louisville, but Rick Pitino is using the weekend to host four big-time 2011 recruits. They are Quincy Miller, his best friend and teammate Deuce Bello, as well as California guard Josiah Turner and Bowling Green forward Chane Behanan.

Of the four, the only one I'm concerned with is Quincy Miller. The power forward is the No. 2 ranked player in the class of 2011. He's also from the state of North Carolina.

Miller is an explosive big man. He's a monster rebounder, who can also score from just about anywhere. He's a beast and I'm finding it hard to believe that the ACC schools, particularly the ones located in North Carolina might let this kid slip away.

While Miller was on the Tar Heels' radar, it was never really serious. As for Duke, they seemed to go after Miller hard. In fact, I would have listed the Blue Devils as one of the favorites, but since they have already grabbed two big men for 2011 (Tyler Adams and Marshall Plumlee), it appears that they weren't interested in Quincy or Quincy wasn't interested in them anymore.
