King James Crashes Canes Practice
It's was really only a matter of time. New Miami Heat, LeBron James stopped by the Miami Hurricanes' practice for a little practice and photo time.
LeBron wasn't riding solo. He was accompany by teammates Mike Miller, Patrick Beverleym Mario Chambers and Udonis Haslem (we're assuming Haslem was not holding drugs with him).
Chris Paul as tagged along for the ride.
Now this isn't really big news, but it is important for the fact that there has been some talk about the possible impact LeBron James could have on the Hurricanes' basketball program.
Over at the Bleacher Report, Benny Vargas is already on it.
"This could turn into a great recruiting tool for the Hurricanes. Not only can you sell kids on a first-rate education, a beautiful private campus with small class sizes, playing in the ACC or in front of a fairly new on-campus arena, but you can also add playing pick up games with LeBron James to that.
"
Listen, having the NBA's biggest star hanging around can never be a bad thing. I believe it can help...a bit. However, I still don't see the Hurricanes becoming Basketball-U just because some kid can meet LeBron James for a day or two.
The fact is, most great high school players will meet some of the great NBA players through camps and AAU.
