Class in Session: Tyler Bell is Ready to Ring and Rise to the Top.
Some players wouldn't be happy with having to start their collegiate career at a smaller school. Tyler Bell isn't that type of player. For Bell, it's all about improving his game, working on his game, and going to wherever he has the best opportunity to be the best player on the court.
Recently, I was able to talk with Bell and get a first hand account on what this kid—who will begin his career at Illinois Central College (ICC)—is ready to do and where he hopes to go from there.
New season, new you?

Q: What has been one difference you've noticed in yourself or your game?
A: "I feel different from this summer to last mostly because I grew another two inches. Growing can only improve my game in every way. More height means I can put on more weight. More weight means I can do more things with my game, I hope it only took two inches to make the most dominant player I can be."
Improvements
Q: The summer was a long one for you, what did you do to improve your game along with meeting your teammates?
A:"The summer was a really good time for me to not only focus on my game, but my teammates as well. Coming out of workouts, I feel the chemistry will be there, I just need to work on throwing alley oops without looking. That may sound cocky, but I get my teammates involved and show I have great court vision."
Man on a mission
Q: What should everyone know about you as you head into your first college season?
A: "I'm going to bust my end until I can't move anymore. Practice doesn't make you perfect, perfect practice makes you perfect. I just want everyone to know that I'm going to work really hard to work my way to nationals and that hopefully will lead me to a higher collegiate level."
Sounds like this Bell has rung and he won't stop playing the game till he is absolutely the best he can be. That best can always get better so Bell will be on the rise and with the season approaching his opponents better take note.
