PGA Champiomship 2010: Fantasy Golf Picks and Predictions

Steve Stricker is my A-player in Yahoo Fantasy Golf this week as the Tour professionals try out a Pete Dye course open to the public in a beautiful setting with dunes, wind- swept fairways, and fast immense greens.

Steve Stricker is expected to play well in his home state of Wisconsin and I have full confidence he will play well enough to not be replaced by his back-up this week, Tiger Woods.

My B-players starting this week will be Retief Goosen, who also has the majors mentality for a test of this measure, and Hunter Mahan, whom aftern winning last week at Firestone is still playing very well.

The back up B-players will be Sean O Hair, also playing well of late, and Jeff Overton with a million top tens this year.

In the C-position will be the very steady Matt Kuchar who is the statistcal leader of the PGA Tour this season. With all categories considered, he is the number one on average for greens hit in regulation, putting, sand saves, fairways, etc. 

If I need a replacement for Kuchar it will be Louis Oosthuizen, who after the win at the British Open, grabbed a fourth in Sweden. Plus he also played well at Firestone.

That's the fantasy line up this coming week for the PGA Championship held at Whistling Straits, in Kohler Wisconson.

Currently in Yahoo Fantasy Golf I am gaining ground on the last expert I am trying to pass for the season. 

Last week at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone I once again gained ground picking up 33 points on Matt Romig.

I am currently waiting for more points from the last round at Firestone to pick a bit more ground heading into the PGA Championship this week.

Good luck to home state favorite Steve Stricker as he tries to bring home his first major victory on thre PGA Tour.
