Ben Tate Day! was great for the kids, the Town of Berlin and the entire Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Tate will be a role model for the children to look up to and an example of what Sportsmanship is all about.
It was a fantastic turn out for the event and a better opportunity for everyone to see one of their own.
While at Stephen Decatur High School he set the Maryland State single season rushing record with 2,886 yards and scored 41 touchdowns in his junior season.

Tate encouraged the kids to set goals and never, never give up.

He graduated early from high school and a year early from Auburn University.

After a great career playing for the Tigers, Tate was voted the team MVP in his senior season.  He was drafted 58th in this spring by the Houston Texans.

Tate, number 43 for Texans of the NFL, gained lots of support for the upcomping season.
