Braves Can't Complete Sweep Of Mets: Shutout By Johan
It's games like these where all you can do is tip your cap to the opposing pitcher and start thinking about the next series. Luckily, tomorrow is the All Star break, and the Braves can head into the break feeling confident on top of the NL East with a four-game lead.
Derek Lowe was mediocre at best today, allowing two runs on eight hits in five plus innings, and as most of us expected he was completely out-dueled by Johan Santana, who only allowed five hits and no runs.
The Metropolitans scored on two singles and a thousand-foot moon shot by Ike Davis in the sixth, while all of the braves hits just seemed to die in the outfield for easy pop-flies, making this an easy game for the Mets.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Although we did not get the sweep today, we still won the series against our division rivals, so Braves fans have absolutely no reason to head into this break with their heads hanging, (Unless of course you are Yunel Escobar and have a bad attitude about everything.)
Now is the time for all of us to enjoy the festivities in Anaheim, and just kick back, relax, and watch Martin, Omar, Brian, and Huddy dominate in this year's Mid-Summer Classic. When we return, we have the luxury of a seven game home-stand against Milwaukee and San Diego. J-Hey the Kid will be in the lineup for the rest of the year, and I have a strange feeling that in the next couple of weeks, Frank Wren will be introducing a new outfielder to Atlanta.
Keep those heads high, Braves country, because the second half of the season will be even better than the first, and the first-place Braves are showing no signs of slowing down.
