Will Power started from pole and won Sunday's Camping World Grand Prix at Watkins Glen on the road course in New York. Power broke the Team Penske losing streak after six poles. Team Penske had not won at Watkins Glen since Rick Mears won in 1981, that all changed Sunday. Will Power now extends his points lead over Dario Franchitti by 32 points going into Toronto. Ryan Briscoe finished second and had a strong car all weekend as well leading every practice session. Dario Franchitti, the Indy 500 champion, finished third with the Target car after being passed in the closing laps by Briscoe.

Helio Castroneves started in second, but he and Scott Dixon made contact early in the race and ending both drivers' chances at a win. Simona De Silvestro also made contact with the wall in the late stages of the race ending her day. Alex Lloyd went out early with steering rack problems and Dan Wheldon spun, but rebounded for a good finish.

The IZOD IndyCar Series is now off to Toronto, Canada on the Streets of Toronto in two weeks on July 18 on ABC. Will Power has already taken five poles and now three wins in 2010 season winning at Brazil, St Petersburg, and now Watkins Glen. Power will be a serious contender on the upcoming street circuits in Toronto and Edmonton.
