2010 NHL Entry Draft: Say Hello To the Newest Maple Leafs
Here are the newest Toronto Maple Leafs:
43rd overall: Brad Ross
Pick was acquired from Chicago for an unsigned draft pick, so we really didn't lose anything. GM Brian Burke wants toughness, well this kid has it. Ross was the "other guy" on the line with Ryan Johansen and Nino Neiderreiter with the Portland Winter Hawks of the WHL.
09-10 Stats: Games Played:71 Goals:27 Assists:41 Points:68 PIM:203
62nd overall: Greg McKegg
From London, Ontario, was the OHL Player of the Month for February, which is pretty good because the Player of the Month for two months prior was Tyler Seguin. Played with the Erie Otters of the OHL. Named the Otters' most sportsmanlike and most improved player.
09-10 Stats: Games Played:67 Goals:37 Assists:48 Points:85 PIM:32
79th overall: Sondre Olden
Norwegian forward that's good on the power play but is also good defensively. Plays with MODO Jr.
09-10 Stats: Games Played:32 Goals:7 Assists:20 Points:27 PIM:22
116th overall: Petter Granberg
First defenseman taken by the Leafs; played last season with Skelleftea Jr., stay-at-home defenseman, doesn't get caught out of position much.
09-10 Stats: Games Played:40 Goals:2 Assists:7 Points:9 PIM:39
144th overall: Sam Carrick
Center from the Brampton Battalion of the OHL; comes from a hockey family, another local kid from Markham, Ontario.
