With the Draft coming up in under two weeks and Free Agency to follow, there are a lot of rumors going around. Here is the latest.

It is believed that the New Jersey Devils are going to make a big push for Maple Leafs defenseman Tomas Kaberle.

As a Devils fan, I am glad to see this. The Devils need a pure puck-moving defenseman and Tomas Kaberle is that.

The Blackhawks are not expected to re-sign forwards John Madden and Adam Burish.

The Blackhawks are in deep trouble, as they have only a few million dollars to fill seven or eight roster spots. They may have to move both Versteeg and Sharp and in the meantime let John Madden and Adam Burish walk.

I am hearing that the Maple Leafs are interested in forward Kris Versteeg.

This is a perfect fit in my eyes: Versteeg is a very good young forward who has already won.

Russian forward Nikolai Zherdev is expected to return to the NHL this season.

There may not be a ton of suitors, but there are a few teams interested. Watch out for the Devils, Canucks, Sabres, Leafs and Penguins.

Dion Phaneuf will be named the Toronto Maple Leafs captain on Monday during a press conference.

This would be good fit. He is the typical Brian Burke-type player, and that is why he will soon wear the "C" on his jersey.

The Nashville Predators are expected to shop the rights to Dan Hamhuis.

This is really bad for Nashville. They have a few players who are making a lot of money and not playing like they are worth it and for that, they lose players that are worth it.
