Strasburg wasn’t the only one with an impressive debut. Stanton went 3 for 5 with 2 runs.
Wakefield gave up one earned run on four hits with 6 Ks in 7-1/3 innings to improve to 2-4 with a 5.48 ERA.
Richard got a no-decision despite holding the Mets to one run in seven innings with 6 Ks. He lowered his ERA to 2.72.
Lewis gave up one run on four hits with 5 Ks in 7 innings to improve to 5-4 with a 3.40 ERA.
Boesch went 2 for 5 with a HR (6) and 3 RBIs. He’s hitting .341 with 28 RBI.
