Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jolly's felony drug trial was postponed again after he failed a polygraph test. The results came from a May 19 report filed by Boyd Smith and Associates.
It wasn't a complete surprise to Jolly because he signed the paperwork authorizing the test. And they said the test was voluntary.
Bull!
Mike Boyd asked Jolly some questions that related to his bond agreement. I felt there was nothing tricky in those questions. But I wouldn't know. I have never taken a lie detector test.
Jolly was asked if he consumed any alcohol since Dec. 15, 2009 and if he drank any alcohol without telling Mr. Boyd since that date.
The report didn't say whether Jolly answered "Yes" or "No." It was determined that those questions were deceptive. Maybe Jolly thought it was the same question that was asked two different ways.
Imagine Maury Povich hooking Jolly up to a lie detector test and asking the same questions.
"Johnny," Maury would say, "we asked if you drank alcohol since Dec. 15, 2009."
"You said no. The lie detector test said that's a lie."
"We asked if the drinks you held in your hand in pictures someone took at a club your drinks."
"You said no. The lie detector test said that's a lie."
The Packers stay out of legal situations involving their players. Jolly was ordered to give a hair sample for drug test and follow a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew. He can't visit any place with drugs or alcohol and must undergo drug and alcohol evaluation.
Jolly had a good season for Green Bay last year. The team made a restricted free-agent offer to him, and he must sign it by June 15.
Permission has to be granted by the judge for Jolly to travel if he has to sign it in Green Bay.
If Jolly doesn't accept the offer or isn't allowed to sign the contract, the Packers can lower the offer to 110 percent and keep their negotiating rights.
Being arrested for possessing more than 200 grams of codeine might land Jolly some jail time and end his career in Green Bay.
I think the Packers should cut the umbilical cord from Jolly right now, since they have him by the loins.
Hey buddy, I should have no trouble finding any night club in Houston. You probably know where the hot spots are.
Hook me up if I ever come down that way.
