Chan Ho Park Close to Returning
According to Chad Jennings of the Journal News , Yankees reliever Chan Ho Park , who has been on the DL with a hamstring issue, is close to returning to the Bronx after throwing a 45-pitch bullpen session on Monday.
“He might get two (rehab games),” Joe Girardi said. “We’ll make a judgment after Wednesday.”
This is good news for the Yankees, who have experienced some inconsistencies in their bullpen lately. David Robertson , in particular, has struggled this year after he was expected to play a major role coming into this season. The Yankees have also been running quite the shuttle between the Bronx and Scranton as Mark Melancon , Romulo Sanchez , and Ivan Nova have been sent back and forth recently.

Park’s next rehab appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, but even if things go well for him they may elect to take it slow as the pitcher has already taken longer to recover than expected. If he has no pain at all though it is possible to see him back on a major league mound by Friday.
