Phil Mickelson Belly Flops Out at West Coast Tournaments

Just three words for Phil Mickelson:

Come on man!

Come on Lefty, you can't be serious. That was one gigantic belly flop you took for us on the West Coast swing.

Come on man!

You've played four events now and you've hardly even logged any television time.

You were 45th at Riviera.

You were 19th at a home game at Torrey Pines. 

You hacked it around in another friendly venue, Phoenix and finished 24th there.

Your only Top 10 was that eighth place finish at Pebble Beach. Thank goodness for one decent week.

So what's up with you Lefty?

Talk about slow starts, this would amount to about a 6.5 in the 40 at the NFL combine.

This start is basically stumbling and bumbling out of the starting gate.

It's not that long until you drive down Magnolia Lane and play at that really plush, manicured course in Georgia. And you better get things in order over the next 30 or so days.

These first four events of yours have been, well, forgettable at best.

Maybe you're not well rested enough. Better schedule at least four or five more family vacations between now and April.

You're not getting enough coaching, either. You've only got Butch Harmon, Dave Pelz, Dave Stockton, and who knows who else.

Better look for more help.

From the looks of those first four events, you can use it.
