Dynamite!! Update: Manhoef/Misaki Official; Mousasi/Goodridge "Close"

As we grow closer and closer to the year end "Dynamite!! 2009" Event presented by DREAM, World Victory Road & K-1 the card continues to fill up with big names from both Mixed Martial Arts and Kickboxing.

A Mixed Martial Arts rules bout between intimidating Dutch striker Melvin Manhoef and veteran of PRIDE, Pancrase & Sengoku, Kazuo Misaki has been made official for the December 31st Event. Manhoef recently signed a deal with Strikeforce to compete in the United States but this deal also allows him to compete overseas for promotions like DREAM.

Manhoef last competed under MMA rules this past July where he was defeated by Brazil's Paulo Filho after an impressive display of striking to begin the bout. Misaki on the other hand, has been on quite a role in recent memory winning four of his last five bouts with his most recent victory over Kazuhiro Nakamura via first round submission at Sengoku 9 this past August.

This past Thursday DREAM Welterweight Grand Prix Semi-Finalist Jason High tweeted that Strikeforce Light-Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi and Gary Goodridge would face each other at Dynamite!!. This was later confirmed by Michael Kogan who told MMAfighting.com the bout is "close" to being finalized and would take place under K-1 rules.

Mousasi is on the role of a lifetime at this point winning all of his last fourteen bouts with his most recent victory being over Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou at Stikeforce's "Fedor vs. Rogers" Event in November. Gary Goodridge on the other hand has not collected a victory under K-1 Rules since 2006 which puts him on a colossal ten fight losing streak.
