Natalia Silva became the new queen of the UFC flyweight title with a unanimous decision win over Wang Cong in the main event of UFC 332.

It's the crowning achievement of a torrid run through the division to this point in her career. However, it still leaves the looming question of former champion Valentina Shevchenko in the background.

The title was vacated by The Bullet due to a shoulder and back injury that could take some time recover. So rather than hold up the division we now have a new champion to make things interesting.

Here, we'll take a look at her next best fight options along with what's next for Wang Cong after coming up short.

Whether it's fair or not, there are going to be questions about Silva's legitimacy as champion until Valentina Shevchenko's presence in the division is resolved.

Shevchenko dropped the belt due to injury. Considering how dominant she has been in the division, it's hard to ignore the fact that she didn't lose the belt in the cage.

The ideal situation for Silva is that Shevchenko is able to make a quicker recovery, get back into shape and fight Silva as soon as possible.

If that's not in the cards, then she should be paying careful attention to the up-and-coming bout between Erin Blanchfield and Jasmine Jasudavicius.

Blanchfield is coming off back-to-back wins over Rose Namajunas and Tracy Cortez. Jasudavicius would get a lot of momentum from beating Blanchfield and has won six of her last seven fights.

Alexa Grasso would be a decent third option. She already has a loss to Silva, but she has picked up wins over Maycee Barber and Manon Fiorot since then.

Bouncing back after a title loss is never an easy task. Fortunately for Cong, there are a lot of contenders in this division that are coming off losses and looking to get back in the mix.

The October 17th matchup between Erin Blanchfield and Jasmine Jasudavicius fight will inevitably create another. The winner could have a title shot if Shevchenko's recovery will take a while, but the loser will find themselves tumbling down the rankings.

Cong finds herself in the same spot. The UFC could create an intriguing matchup between two recent losers with the talent to go on a run.

Manon Fiorot is already in that boat. She has lost two out of her last three bouts, but has a first-round knockout win over Jasudavicius in between them. She has the striking to challenge Cong, but has been beatable enough to help her get back on track.

Barber is another one coming off a devastating loss. She had a seven-fight win streak snapped by a first-round knockout loss to Alexa Grasso. She and Cong are both looking to get back in it after crushing losses.
