Rays vs. Astros: ALCS Game 5 Odds, TV Schedule, Live Stream, Daily Fantasy Tips

Joe TanseyOct 15, 2020

The Houston Astros are alive in the postseason at least for one more day.

Dusty Baker's team won its first ALCS game over the Tampa Bay in Game 4, but it still faces the challenge of winning three more games in a row to make it to the World Series.

The Rays have not needed overpowering offensive performances to take down the Astros. Randy Arozarena has been their main source of power, and he contributed another home run Wednesday.

Arozarena is the hottest hitter in the series and should be one of the top daily fantasy plays, no matter which pitcher Houston sends to the mound to start Game 5.

The same could be said about Houston leadoff man George Springer, who turned in his second performance with three or more hits this postseason in Game 4.

Daily Fantasy Tips

Continue To Ride Randy Arozarena's Hot Bat

Arozarena has been the most reliable hitter in the ALCS. He has six hits, four runs, three RBI and two home runs in the four games against the Astros.

In Game 4, the Tampa Bay outfielder countered two early runs from the Astros with a fourth-inning long ball off Zack Greinke.

Arozarena could avoid a tough matchup in Game 5 since Baker said Framber Valdez and Lance McCullers Jr. will not start Game 5 on short rest, per USA Today's Bob Nightengale

That could mean the 25-year-old will face a handful of bullpen arms as Houston pieces together its plan in the series with no days off.

Arozarena could feast at the dish regardless of who he faces after having at least one hit in nine of his 11 playoff games.

Since he possesses the most consistent bat on either ALCS roster, he is worthy of a daily fantasy baseball play, even if a majority of players in your contests will use him as well.

Bank On George Springer To Be Houston's Offensive Catalyst

Springer's production out of the No. 1 spot in the order has been hit-and-miss over the last few games.

In Game 4, the outfielder rebounded from an 0-for-4 performance with a trio of hits, six total bases and one of Houston's two home runs.

Springer enters Game 5 in a similar situation as his opponents since the Rays are not decided yet on their starting pitcher, per MLB.com's Juan Toribio.

The 31-year-old has seen what most of Tampa Bay's staff has to offer, and he could benefit from that familiarity to get Houston's offense going on the right foot.

Springer followed his last three-plus-hit performance in ALDS Game 1 with two home runs in Game 2 against Oakland. If that trend extends into Game 5, he could help the Astros remain in the series for another day.
