Eric Dickerson: Saquon Barkley Won't Break My NFL Rookie Rushing Record
Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson doesn't believe New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley will break his rookie rushing record this season.
As seen in the following video courtesy of TMZ Sports, the legendary Los Angeles Rams halfback isn't at all concerned about his mark falling:

With regard to why he doesn't see Barkley surpassing him, Dickerson said, "They got no offensive line. You gotta have a line. ... Nothing against their line, but they don't have a line!"
In 1983, Dickerson rushed for a rookie record 1,808 yards to go along with 18 touchdowns after the Rams selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft out of SMU.
Barkley is also a No. 2 overall pick, as the G-Men nabbed him at that spot in the 2018 draft after a standout collegiate career at Penn State.
Entering the draft, Barkley was widely considered one of the best and most complete running back prospects in years.
He is expected to be a huge part of New York's offense in 2018 in an effort to take some of the burden off veteran quarterback Eli Manning.
Last season, the Giants ranked 26th in the league in rushing yards while struggling to find a lead back for their committee.
The blocking up front was undoubtedly a problem as well, but the Giants tried to address that this offseason by signing former New England Patriots left tackle Nate Solder and selecting UTEP guard Will Hernandez in the second round of the draft.
If New York's line comes together, then Barkley unquestionably has the skill set needed to be one of the NFL's elite backs as a rookie after Ezekiel Elliott, Alvin Kamara and Kareem Hunt took the league by storm in their inaugural campaigns over the past two seasons.
