Timberwolves Coach Rick Brunson Resigns After Inappropriate Conduct Allegations

Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach Rick Brunson resigned Tuesday amid workplace misconduct allegations, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

Krawczynski reported that several women alleged that Brunson had "improper interactions" with them while on the job.

The 45-year-old Brunson had been an assistant with the T-Wolves since 2016 on the heels of stints as an assistant coach with the Denver Nuggets, the University of Hartford, the Chicago Bulls and the Charlotte Bobcats.

Previously, Brunson had a nine-year NBA career as a point guard. He spent time with the Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Bulls, Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Clippers, Seattle SuperSonics and Houston Rockets.

In 2014, Brunson was charged with sexually abusing a masseuse in Vernon Hills, Illinois, but was found not guilty.

Brunson said he was having an extramarital affair with the woman and that all acts were consensual.
