Ahman Green Enters Alford Plea in Child Abuse Case, Receives 18 Months Probation
Former NFL running back Ahman Green has entered an Alford plea and been found guilty of charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property stemming from his arrest in June 2017 after allegedly punching his 15-year-old daughter.
Per TMZ Sports, the 41-year-old agreed to submit the Alford plea, meaning that he did not admit to the crime but acknowledges there is evidence that could lead to a conviction.
According to the police report obtained by Deadspin, Green and his daughter were allegedly involved in a dispute that arose from her refusal to wash dishes. Green allegedly became angry enough to throw his daughter onto the ground and hit her in the face, causing her left eye to swell and resulting in minor scratches.
