Novak Djokovic announced a split from coaches Radek Stepanek and Andre Agassi on Wednesday.

"The private relationship with Stepanek was and will remain great, and Novak has enjoyed working with him and learning from him," Djokovic's camp said in a statement. "He remains grateful and appreciative of all the support he has received from Radek during the last period. Novak remains focused and eager to come back stronger and more resilient from long injury break that has affected his confidence and game."

Agassi, meanwhile, told ESPN last week that he and Djokovic "far too often agreed to disagree," according to the Telegraph's Simon Briggs

Djokovic started his season with a fourth-round loss to Hyeon Chung at the Australian Open, and struggles have persisted over the past few months.

Following the year's first major, Djokovic announced he had a "small medical intervention" on the troublesome right elbow that forced him to miss the final six months of the 2017 season.

Since then, the 30-year-old has gone one-and-done at the BNP Paribas Open and Miami Open with losses to Taro Daniel and Benoit Paire, respectively.

"I don't want to sit here and whine about my last couple of years," he said after his early exit in South Florida, according to the New York Times' David Waldstein. "The truth is that it wasn't easy. Obviously, I compromised my game and the movement and everything because of the injury."

According to his official website, Djokovic will return to the court the week of April 15 for the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters in Monaco as he ramps up his preparations for the clay-court season.
