In addition to ending the school's 55-year Final Four drought, Loyola-Chicago became the fourth No. 11 seed in NCAA tournament history to advance this far. The previous three teams to pull off the feat—LSU in 1986, George Mason in 2006 and VCU in 2011—all lost in the national semifinal.
Saturday's victory over Kansas State was Loyola-Chicago's most impressive performance of the tournament. The Ramblers shot 57.4 percent and held the Wildcats to 34.8 percent from the field.
