Zach Norvell Jr. Buries Clutch 3-Pointer to Power Gonzaga Past UNC Greensboro

No. 4 Gonzaga was tested against No. 13 UNC Greensboro in the first round of the 2018 NCAA tournament on Thursday, but a clutch shot by freshman guard Zach Norvell Jr. helped the Bulldogs survive and advance.

With the score tied at 64 with 21 seconds to play, Norvell created just enough separation to get a shot and rattled in the game-winning three-pointer.

Norvell, who scored 15 points against the Spartans, put the game away moments later with a free throw to put his team up by four in the final seconds. 

Gonzaga now awaits the winner of the Ohio State-South Dakota State matchup scheduled for 4:10 p.m. ET Thursday.
