Why the Jayhawks can cover the spread
Kansas has recovered from some early-season struggles, going 9-1 straight up since losing back-to-back games to the Washington Huskies and Arizona State Sun Devils at home in early December.
The Jayhawks have also covered the spread in five of their last nine games, according to the OddsShark College Basketball Database, with four of those coming away from home.
Last week, Kansas upset the seventh-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers 71-66 as 5.5-point road underdogs with three starters scoring in double figures, led by senior guard Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk's 17 points.

Why the Sooners can cover the spread
Oklahoma arguably has the best player in the country in freshman guard Trae Young, who scored a career-high 48 points in an 83-81 overtime loss to the Oklahoma State Cowboys away from home.
The Sooners have lost each of their last two games as two-point road favorites, but they are 9-0 SU at home and 4-4 against the spread so far.
In Young's last performance at the Lloyd Noble Center on January 13, he scored 29 of his 43 points after the intermission in a 102-97 win over the TCU Horned Frogs in overtime.
Smart betting pick
The Jayhawks have won each of the past four meetings with Oklahoma. However, Kansas has gone just 1-3 ATS in those games, with the last three all going under the total.
The Sooners lost both meetings a year ago by double digits but covered them both, and the Jayhawks have won two of the previous three in the series when they have closed as underdogs (3-0 ATS).
This will be Young's first meeting with Kansas, and he has been outstanding lately in averaging 37 points over his last three overall.
Look for the 19-year-old to put on a show against the Jayhawks as Oklahoma wins and covers at online sports betting sites.
