The Houston Rockets led the Golden State Warriors 111-108 when guard James Harden put the game out of reach with a 26-foot jumper to extend his team's advantage to six points at the Toyota Center.
The Warriors came into Saturday's contest having won 14 consecutive road games, but they ran into their top Western Conference challenger.
After notching just 10 points on 3-of-15 shooting from the field against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, Harden dropped 22 points and dished out eight assists. Chris Paul put together a double-double, scoring 33 points with 11 rebounds.
Houston won the season series 2-1. Nonetheless, the squads could clash in May's conference finals.
