Sam Hubbard Declares for 2018 NFL Draft, Will Forego Senior Season at Ohio State
Ohio State defensive end Sam Hubbard declared for the 2018 NFL draft on Saturday.
Hubbard announced his decision with the following tweet:
The Cincinnati native capped his junior campaign Friday in the Cotton Bowl Classic with 2.5 sacks on USC quarterback Sam Darnold.
Overall, Hubbard finished with seven sacks and 42 tackles on the year.
Hubbard was a major contributor for three seasons at OSU, racking up 17 sacks during his collegiate career.
Over the past two seasons, Hubbard formed one of the most dynamic and productive pass-rushing duos in college football alongside Nick Bosa.
According to Bleacher Report's Matt Miller's most recent big board, Hubbard is the No. 26 overall player in the 2018 draft class and the No. 4 defensive end.
With Hubbard out of the picture at Ohio State in 2018, Bosa stands to potentially become the sole focus of opposing offensive linemen during his junior year.
