Oklahoma Captains Carry Baker Mayfield's Jersey to Coin Toss

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield was stripped of his team captaincy for his antics against the Kansas Jayhawks on November 18. However, the remaining Sooners captains made sure he was still represented during the coin toss of Saturday's game against West Virginia. 

Orlando Brown and Dimitri Flowers made their dramatic statement by carrying Mayfield's No. 6 jersey to midfield—a gesture typically reserved for players who have recently suffered a serious injury or have died. 

Mayfield, however, was on the sidelines with the rest of his teammates and only sat out one series before returning from his brief suspension.
