John Wall Nutmegs Hassan Whiteside, Carves Through Heat Defense
Washington Wizards guard John Wall put on a ball-handling clinic during the first half of Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena.
With roughly 4:15 remaining in the opening quarter, Wall nutmegged Miami big man Hassan Whiteside en route to starting a fast break down the opposite end of the court. Wall failed to score, but Otto Porter Jr. was there for a putback dunk.
The 27-year-old star wasn't finished there.
In the closing minute of the half, Wall utilized clever footwork and a behind-the-back maneuver to cut through a sea of four Miami defenders before banking in a layup.
Just another night at the office for Mr. Wall.
Update: With roughly two minutes remaining in the contest, Wall generated a defensive highlight when he denied Miami's Tyler Johnson with a phenomenal chase-down block:
