Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater returned to action as a backup for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field for the first time since suffering a severe knee injury in August 2016.

The 25-year-old was overcome with emotion before kickoff.

Television cameras caught Bridgewater wiping tears away following the national anthem, and it's assumed he's overjoyed to again be active following an injury that could've jeopardized his career:

Welcome back, Teddy Two Gloves.
