NYC Voter Writes in Kristaps Porzingis for Mayor; KP Wants the Job

Incumbent New York City mayor Bill de Blasio won a second term on Tuesday. However, one voter wrote in an interesting candidate: New York Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis.
The 22-year-old Latvian playfully told ESPN.com's Ian Begley that he'd accept the position: "That's pretty funny. I think I'm definitely ready for the job. People have a lot of imagination."
On election night, Porzingis led to the Knicks to a 118-113 victory over the Charlotte Hornets with a game-defining drive to the hoop:
