J.J. Watt Says He Is 'Devastated' over Suffering Season-Ending Leg Injury
The Houston Texans confirmed that star defender J.J. Watt will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a tibial plateau fracture.
It's a huge blow for the Texans and the three-time Defensive Player of the Year, who played three games last year due to a back injury. The 28-year-old must now overcome another lengthy absence before regaining his All-Pro form.
On Monday morning, he expressed his disappointment on Twitter.

"I can't sugarcoat it, I am devastated," Watt wrote. "All I want to do is be out there on that field for my teammates and this city. I'm sorry."
Along with leading the Texans on the field, he raised more than $37 million for Houston in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Unfortunately, injuries are an inevitable part of football that the dedicated leader could not avoid.
