MLB Trade Deadline 2017: Hottest Rumors Leading Up to Monday's Deadline
The Washington Nationals, New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers look destined for the playoffs as the leaders in their respective divisions, but they are looking to shore up their 25-man rosters before the non-waiver trade deadline on Monday at 4 p.m. ET.
Rumors are flying fast in regards to all three teams, so here is the latest talk from the game's best sources.

Report: MLB Vet Unretires After 1 Day
The Washington Nationals have a fantastic batting order and starting rotation, but their bullpen has the worst ERA in the National League and the second-worst ERA in baseball (5.17).
They already picked up Sean Doolittle and Ryan Madson from the Oakland Athletics, but they are still looking for more arms before their postseason run.
According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Nats are considering three left-handed relievers: Justin Wilson of the Detroit Tigers, Brad Hand of the San Diego Padres and Zach Britton of the Baltimore Orioles.
Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports confirmed the Nats' interest in Wilson but also noted a few potential snags:
Although the competition will be fierce for any of those three relievers, expect the Nats to get a deal done to acquire one of them.
If Washington figures out its bullpen troubles, it might be the most well-rounded team in the league.
Yankees Looking Less Likely To Get Gray...
After a nasty slump dropped the Yankees into third place following a 38-23 start, New York has bounced back to go 8-2 in their last 10 games, winning their last five.
The Yanks are clear buyers at the deadline and have already acquired third baseman Todd Frazier as well as relievers David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle from the Chicago White Sox.
They aren't done yet, however, and are looking to acquire another arm for their rotation.
Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Sonny Gray has been connected to the Yankees numerous times this past week. Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com provided the latest news:
Heyman also confirmed that the Yanks and A's aren't close on a deal, with the added caveat that New York is prepared to look at other options:
The Yanks need a proven starter with Michael Pineda out for the season with a torn UCL. Gray, who has a 3.43 ERA this season, could be that guy.
However, it shouldn't come at the cost of a top prospect like infielder Gleyber Torres. If that's the sticking point, the Yanks should look elsewhere.
...And the Same Goes for the Dodgers and Darvish
The Dodgers are somehowย 72-31 despite eight starting pitchers landing on the disabled list at some point this year. Their starting lineup, bench and bullpen are ready to go for the playoffs, but another arm for the postseason could be useful given the injuries.
Yu Darvish has been connected to the Dodgers quite a bit, but Mark Feinsand of MLB.com noted it doesn't look like L.A. wants to trade the best players from its farm system:
The Dodgers also have competition in the Darvish race from the Yankees, although Heyman reportsย New York may not be willing to part with top prospects for him either.
While it would be nice for the Dodgers to acquire Darvish, he would be a luxury for a team already 41 games over .500. Although the four-time All-Star would be a great fit in Los Angeles, the Dodgers don't necessarily need him.
Like Gray and the Yankees, if the Dodgers have to trade a top prospect to get a deal done, then L.A. should find another starter.
