In the police report, El Patron is listed as a victim of battery with the use of hands, fists or feet, and it is indicated that neither alcohol nor drugs were involved.
TMZ Sports reported on July 10 there was a domestic violence incident at the airport, with a witness saying El Patron "roughed up" a female companion.
TMZ later released audio of an apparent argument between El Patron and Paige at the airport (Warning: Video contains profanity):
Amid reports and speculation regarding the incident, Paige posted on Twitter that she was held on battery charges and never arrested after throwing a beer on El Patron during an argument:
On July 19, Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported an Orlando Police Department representative said it was being determined if charges would be brought against Paige: "OPD detectives have found that probable cause exists to charge Saraya Bevis [Paige] with battery (domestic violence). Detectives have sent the information to the State Attorney’s Office for review and the SAO will determine whether to file charges in the case."
With an investigation ongoing, El Patron was suspended indefinitely by Global Force Wrestling despite being the current GFW World Heavyweight champion.
El Patron had two previous stints with WWE as Alberto Del Rio, while Paige remains under contract with the company.
She hasn't competed in a match for more than a year due to a neck injury.
